FASHION & DESIGN - Coming Summer 2026: A Fresh Look for Home Economics
Our long-loved Home Economics program is getting a stylish makeover! These cherished
classes will evolve into our Fashion & Design program with a beautifully renovated,
state-of-the-art classroom to reopen in 2026. Soon you’ll be able to take the same
great classes and earn career certificates. For spring, you’ll still find these free
classes listed under Home Economics.
CULINARY ARTS - Coming Fall 2026: FREE Hands-on Cooking and Baking Classes
In Fall 2026, you will be able to enjoy previously fee-based cooking classes held
in our newly renovated
commercial kitchen at the Schott campus! Classes are taught by experts who have long
shared
their passion for food and preparation techniques.

Quick Fee-based FAQs
You can pay with a VISA or MasterCard credit card if you register either online or in person at the Schott or Wake Campus. Cash and checks are no longer accepted.
Materials fees include items used in class or taken home (e.g. handouts, food for cooking, etc). Lab fees include specialized classroom supplies, utilities, personnel costs and may include off-campus classroom rental fees. (Thanks to a generous grant, the $5 registration fee for Fee-based classes has been removed starting Summer 2024.)
If you enrolled in a Fee-based class that is being taught via Zoom, the instructor will email you the Zoom link before the class starts. If you have questions regarding the link, please connect by email with your instructor. Instructor emails can be found here.
